QwErT is a hungarian street artist who was living in London for almost a decade, but two years ago he moved to Barcelona searching for sunshine.
QwerT has always been very creative. He started graffiti when he was fourteen, he wrote a book, he is into socio photography, and sometimes he is building his own furnitures too, but he only started street art ten years ago. It was the missing puzzle piece for him, so he was painting everyday, and soon London became too small for him. He started to travel with his cute character, and a little bit later he quit his job too. By now you can find hundreds of his works all around, in more than 20 countries, and his studio works in London, Barcelona, and Paris based galleries…
Apart from the obvious presence of his iconic character, in his studio works qweRT is trying to bring the streets into the homes… He is using scrap wood, flyers and boards that he found on the streets, he is making nails and screws artificially rusty, and with the messy backgrounds, and the asymmetric home built frames, he is vivifying the dirty, tortured, but beautifully random street walls of the world… In his art, the balanced contrast between order and chaos is also significant. Randomness and chaos overwritten by order, overwritten by chaos, overwritten by order, in perfect harmony...
