/// NININ  ///

Based in Paris for almost ten years, Ninin is an Argentine artist originally from Córdoba. Encouraged by his grandmother, herself a painter, he trained in acrylic and oil painting under the tutelage of the artist Marta Miliani, before leaving his country for a trip which took him to France, where he met local street artists.
In 2016, he joined the La Cale collective and began making his first street collages, a practice which helped him consolidate his artistic approach. His graphic universe is strongly influenced by pre-Hispanic art from South America. Through his work, both in the street and in the studio, he explores the identity construction of Latin American peoples and the challenges they face in the face of neocolonialism.
Through contact with indigenous peoples encountered during various projects (in Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina), he became aware of the existence of different forms of social organizations, based on ancestral traditions, more respectful of human beings and nature.
With a resolutely engaged approach, Ninin continues to question and celebrate the cultural heritages of indigenous peoples through his art. His approach, both introspective and collective, invites the viewer to rethink the notions of territory, identity and resistance in the face of contemporary issues.

/// THE ARTISTIC APPROACH  ///

In this work I invite you to reflect on the subsistence of nature and the people who live in harmony with it in the face of the "failure" of modernity. During my travels I had the opportunity to meet communities that refuse to integrate into the system in which we live and therefore modern advances are an obstacle to their development.

The “Symbiose” series highlights the connection of indigenous communities with nature.
