/// GLAD POW ///
The Gladpow project was born in 2020, inspired by a black and white photo of the artist, the face
hidden by her hair. It all started in the street, by sticking portraits there to challenge
passers-by. Faceless portraits. For the artist, the concept of “invisible portrait” is a
way of expressing the memory that is fading, and of reviving others that are anchored in memory
collective. The concept of Gladpow: thinking about the emblems, the people we meet,
divert them by showing faces only their contours, and integrate them into a
urban environment which calls on the public to question their relationship to art and identity. THE
game being for the spectators to recognize - or not - the character(s) who are hiding
behind these erased faces. Each portrait is a challenge that only the public will be able to judge
as achieved or not.The bright colors and the thick felt-tip pen which are the trademark
of the artist, reflect his personality, his joy, the “glad power”.
