/// Biographie de MORÈJE ///
Morèje, a trained painter and photographer, discovered mosaic at the Beaux-arts de Paris in the workshop of Ricardo Licata. From then on, going beyond the simple technical dimension of mosaic, he devoted his research as a visual artist to the “notion of mosaic”, which he placed in the field of contemporary art. At the end of the 1980s, he was the first artist to introduce mosaic into the field of urban art5 and more widely into public space; the common thread of his work can be purely aesthetic, plastic, philosophical, poetic or even political, social, historical... Tali. S In addition to his artistic activity punctuated by numerous exhibitions and publications, he is an Associate Professor of Visual Arts, graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1987 and defended a Doctorate thesis in 2007. He has taught in Paris1 and Paris8, at the Conservatoire des ochres et de la couleur as well as at the Maison Européenne de la Mosaïque.
