/// Biographie de EZK ///
French street artist, EZK has a double life… professional and artistic. Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, Chartres, Deauville, Grenoble, etc., he disseminates his graffiti almost everywhere, with no other claim than to participate on his own scale in collective questioning.
After an adolescence spent in the countryside, EZK continued to study art history then obtained a BTS in communications. It was in 2011 that a stay in New York was the detonator of his practice and his commitment. EZKSTREETART was born. Because EZK has things to express, to say, to poach!
His “Art Against Poverty” project highlights his favorite subject and concern: the distribution of wealth. Far from giving lessons, its sole aim is to trigger an emotion. It is also not a question of stigmatizing the brands “associated” with the projects, but of using them for the values they convey, opposed to the subject painted with a stencil.
The artist begins by creating his subject, almost sensitive, completely devoid of questioning. EZK then lets his indignation explode in the form of a message “In what world is Vuitton? », “Dior’s and already condemned” or “No Cartier”.
His workshop work is rarer. Approached by numerous galleries, he exhibits very little, largely favoring his urban practice. Several media report his work and discuss the theme of the work. Art Against Poverty then achieved its objective.
