Lucien Génin

Born in Rouen in 1894, died in Paris in 1953.

He followed the teaching of the School of Fine Arts in Rouen, then moved to Montmartre to follow the teaching of "Arts Deco" in Paris, and evening classes of sculpture.

He quickly became friends with Elysée Maclet. He will be one of the residents of the Bateau-Lavoir and will have in his band of friends Frank Will, Gen Paul1, Emile Boyer, Marcel Leprin, Max Jacob ... His paintings represent life in Montmartre and Paris more generally, but also on the banks of the Marne, and summer in Marseille and Cassis, Cannes and Villefranche-sur-Mer. He represents the life of his contemporaries ... He will be exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in 1930 and will be awarded by the Institute of Chicago Prize in 1932.
